Do Daka Chaka look like they are starting to get their act together after last week's point deduction's, however, another 3 team's fell foul of the financial fair play rules with the Smurfs, Reem Team and the Up and Coming all being stripped of a league point for failing to reduce their arrears.

Cup Qualifying Groups

Group A
Could this group get any tighter. Every team has won and lost a game, therefore going into the final round of cup qualifying matches every team has a chance to finish top and equally bottom. The Smurfs beat Hurricanes 3-2 with a brace from Joe Carhart and a strike from Josh Harris with Geoff Muskett and Alan Ledger replying. Mayfelona beat the Up and Coming 2-1 with Joe Harvey scoring a brace for Mayf who claim there first ever P6 win.
The final round of games see's the Cane's take on the Up and coming and Mayfelona take on the Smurfs.

I Group B
DC United Res are all but assured of a berth in the Champions Cup quarters after a 3-1 win against party team FC Zest who stay rooted to the bootom and probably won't do much better than a place in the Plate Quarter's. Southern Athletico gave themselves a decent chance to make the Champions Cup after beating Inter menan 3-0. The final round of games see's DC take on Menan knowing a draw is good enough to top the group while the Southerns can do their goal difference the power of good as they take on the circus team FC Zest.

Team Won Drawn Lost For Against Points
DC United Res 2 0 0 5 2 6
Southern Athletico 1 0 1 4 2 3
Inter Menan 1 0 1 4 4 3

TR7.5 1-4 Inter Menan
May 13th

nter Menan 0-3 Southern Athletico
DC United Res 3-1 FC Zest

Group C - THE GROUP OF DEATH
Cosmos look likely to top the 'group of death' after a 4-1 win against a Romans Revenge team who played far better than the scoreline suggested. FC Central put up an epic rearguard display against a Do Daka team who dominated but found Central GK Mike Thomas in unbelieveable form. Dka Chaka's Dan Camps finally made the breakthrough with a blistering top corner effort. This now means Cosmos are more than likely the first team into the Champions Cup quarters thanks to their incredible goal difference. Do Daka Chaka need a big win against Romans Revenge in their last game to turn their goal difference around to go through as one of the best runners up.

Team Won Drawn Lost For Against Points
Cosmos 2 0 0 9 1 6
Do Daka Chaka 1 0 1 1 5 3
FC Central 0 1 1 0 1 1
Romans Revenge 0 1 1 1 4 1

Roman's Revenge 0-0 FC Central
May 13th

Cosmos 4-1 Romans Revenge

Group D
Spear Chuckers top the group after a 3-2 victory over DC United, and given their +7 goal difference all barring a massive defeat in their last game they have qualified for the Champions Cup last 8. Men United stand a chance of Champions Cup qualification too after a 2-0 win over A6Milan. The last round of games see's the men take on the Spear Chuckers, while DC take on A6Milan as they battle out which of the bottom two cups they will be playing in.

Team Won Drawn Lost For Against Points
Spear Chuckers 2 0 0 7 0 6
Men United 1 1 0 2 0 4
DC United 0 1 1 2 3 1

The Southerns are now just playing for the best possible seeding for the quarter final draw. The last round of games see's Southern take on the DC's while the Maniacs take on Black Magic.

Southern Ath Res 2 0 0 5 0 6

Group F
It is very tight in Group F after the top two Guantanamo and Reem Team played out a 1-1 draw. The Untouchaballs are still in a position to top the group after beating a Tekkerslavakia team who now look destined to finish bottom 3-1. The last round of matches Guantanamo take on Tekkerslavakia meaning the Payne are huge favourites for a place in the Champions Cup last 8. Untouchaballs take on Reem Team in the final qualifying match.

Chris Treglown 1988-2012
Almost a year after P6 legend Kurt taylor passed away, we lose another good man as Southern Athletico and Farcalona's Chris Treglown was killed in a car crash on Sunday 15th January. Chris was the only remaining original member of the Southern Athletico squad and picked up a P6 Premier division medal and Champions Cup runners up medal in his time at P6. Chris was one of the most popular people at the astro as he had time to speak to anyone and was always willing to help a team out if they were short. On the pitch he will be remembered not only for his incredible dribbling skills and lightening pace but also for being probably the least selfish player in the history of P6. His performances caught the eye and after much badgering he signed for P6FC this season. His performances even caught the eye of Godolphin first team manager Derek Martin who also attempted to sign him in the summer. Chris was always busy and the opportunity to play for the 11-a-side team never arose, but it goes without saying he would have made an enormous impact for the team and would have been one of the first names on the team sheet if things had o been different. Truly the nicest, most genuine guy has been lost and the league won't be the same without seeing him hanging around the dugouts between games chatting to everyone. You will be missed my friend. RIP Chris Treglown.

Mike Thomas - FC Central
FC Central almost secured a valiant point against a powerful Do Daka team who dominated for 30 minutes but struggled to find a way past an inspired Thomas in the Central goal who stopped everything but Dan Camps unstoppable missile that flew into the top corner. Kevin Welsh, Zeni Lukacs, Scott Tummon, you all have a new challenger for the GK of the season award.

Sticker 3-5 Premier Sixes
Premier Sixes arrived at Sticker with the bare eleven for their last game of the 2011-12 season, but left with all three points after dominating the second half. The Sticker defence were clearly at fault for two goals early in the match as Premier Sixes went 2-0 up inside the first 15 minutes, which were despatched by Sixes striker Josh Mitchell. The home side improved as Premier Sixes naively continued to push forwards despite Sticker having the wind advantage. Joe Egan pulled a goal back with a sharp shot and after a good through ball from Rob Dowson, Egan was again on target o level the scores. A good cross-field ball from Pat Burrows and an equally good return cross from Adam Marks found Mark Carter’s head to give Sticker an interval lead much to the bewilderment of Premier Sixes. Playing with the wind in the second half Sixes exposed a fragile home defence. Josh Mitchell scored a sublime solo effort to complete his hat-trick and cement his place as Premier Sixes top scorer for the season. Joe Harvey then beat the keeper but not the woodwork, fortunately his brother was on hand to fire in the rebound. 15 minutes from time Premier Sixes wrapped up the points when Joe Harvey broke clear to cooly slot the ball past the on rushing goalkeeper. Sticker missed a late penalty but the result was never really in doubt. Premier Sixes man of the Match - Ben Currah.
