Group A

Chavs FC 1 - 1 Deportivo Wanka
A who's who of P6 royalty took to the field in this dead rubber with the Depo boys already having secured the #1 spot in qualification last week. A change of personal saw beer loving keeper Prento sacked off in favour of 19 foot tall Bolivan goat shepard Juan Mezzatron. The game got off to a tediously slow start with neither team really putting any effort in. The Chavs players seemed more interested in stitching each other up. Eggy tried an audacious lob which was sailing 14 foot over only for Mezzatron to extend his massive appendages and tip it out for a corner much to the displeasure of the rest of his team. Luke Hyde had the best early chance to open the scoring when he was played through but fired his shot just wide. Phil Lowry suffered a mild stroke when he passed the ball straight to Josh Harris only for Harris to miss the open goal. 0-0 at the break. The saecond half was much better as both teams put a bit more effort in. Lowry opened the scoring for the Chavs with a 20-yard missile. Depo were almost level instantly when they ran up the other end and the sligthest touch from keeper berry saw Bradshaws shot richot off the crossbar before bouncing out to safety. Bradshaw then set off on a mazy run before playing in Harris who fired into the roof of the net with his first touch. Josh was unlucky not to give Depo the lead when his shot came back off the woodwork, while at the other end Luke Hyde also hit the woodwork as the game had now become an end to end classic. In the end the draw was the right result and these sides have been drawn apart for finals night meaning that there next meeting will be the Summer Championship final if both can get through the quarter's and semi's. MoM Ash Bradshaw.

Group B

Inter Mawgan 3 - 3 Premier sixes FC
Mawgan produced the comeback of the Summer Championships as they bagged 3 goals in the last 10 minutes of the game to overturn a 3-0 half-time deficit. P6 started with Dan Code in nets and despite this disadvantage they flew into a 3-0 lead with strikes from Robinho with a brace and Matt Hodgetts. Code made a few sterling saves to keep Mawgan out as P6 hit the break with an almost untouchable lead. Codes resistance was finally broken when Dean King arrowed a missile into the bottom corner to spark the comeback. Code came out of goal and Keast stepped in between the sticks. Moments later ref Berry awarded one of the weirdest penalty decisions ever witnessed as he penalised Keech for a pass back at least a yard outside the box. Keech was adjudged to have touched the ball in the area, when all he had done was wobble into the area shielding the ball like a man who had just pooed himself. Weird. Mawgans midfield dynamo debutant slotted the ball into the top corner and it was 3-2. King scored the goal of the night volleying into the top corner from 20 yards to level and there were still chances for both sides to nick a winner with both keepers performing miracles at the death to keep the score locked at 3-3. MoM Dean King.

Smurfs 0 - 2 Duchy Sanchez
Duchy needed to win to ensure they took top spot in group B. The only team that could overtake them was Bertie's and they stood on the sidelines watching having become the world's biggest Smurfs fans. Duchy weren't firing at all and despite the Smurfs keeper crisis which had seen last weeks match winner and Calrlos Tevez wannabe Arron Drewett take over in nets Duchy never looked like scoring. 0-0 at the break wasn't good enough for Duchy. Drewett produced a sweet point blank save in the second period to keep the Smurfs on track for a draw. The Smurfs had also rolled out the old Western Greyhound as only Trayner was left upfield. With 90 seconds left on the clock and with Berties sensxing they had a chance to win the group Rob Black broke upfield and buried a fine strike beyond Drewett to virtually give Duchy top spot in the group. 30 seconds later the Smurfs were caught short once more as they pushed men forwards as Black once more broke free and again fired past Drewett to make sure all 3 points were now safely in the bag. MoM Rob Black.
