Player of the Week
Each week one person is chosen as our Player Of The Week. This chosen one is somebody who has excelled themselves that week, stood out from the rest of the players and shone. As an added bonus the player gets themselves 10 MVP points for their efforts.
Sunday 17th August - Mick Thompson - Rowdies / Millers / Cosmos
Mick Thompson aka scouse set P6 alight tonight with a truly fantastic performance in every game he played. His trade mark twisting and turning caused his left boot to fall apart, meaning he had to borrow a boot from ref Dan Code. Now I am not trying to insinuate that It was Dan's left boot that caused Mick to have such a terrific night on the pitch including scoring an amazing winner from 25 yards in the Millers game, but is it a coincidence that he inherited some of Codes little known Joga Bonito skills....

Sunday 10th August - Dave Gage - Wet Bandits
Surely Dave Gage is close to an international call up for his native Bangledesh given his truly epic performances in the last few weeks. Last night the Cruse family turned up minus a couple of players for the Bandits so the ever helpful Gageman and his sidekick Gary Woodward of Wolves fame stepped into help out. Bandits #1 GK Prento was again AWOL as he has now become Newquay's #1 alcoholic and socialite. This meant that Gage went into nets. Gage definately wouldn't describe himself as a goalie and his task was made harder as he had to play without gloves in the wet conditions. Old Skool. He does, however, have some sweet ninja reactions having watched the Power Rangers for 8 hours a day for the last 10 years. The Pups looked good going forwards and carved out an unbelievable amount of chances only to be denied time and again by Dave Gage and his ninja like reactions. For the best part of the first half Dave repelled the Pups using everybody part other than his arms, which was weird as it was as if an amputee who was high on speed was in nets. He made one save with his hands and there was now no stopping as he thourh himself at everything. One moment of magic in the second half saw him tip away Joff Bunt's goal bound effort before seconds later tipping out Greebo's missile on the rebound. There have been some splendid keeping performances at P6 in the past but given Gage's lack of keeping experience or gloves on relative terms this is now the greatest performance ever witnessed as his cleansheet meant that the Bandits picked up their first point. of the season

Sunday 3rd August- Josh Harris - The Wolves
It's back to back player of the week accolades for Wolves players as the side that massively under achieved last season picked up their second straight win to proudly sit at the top of division two. Josh Harris saved everything that the Thunder Cats threw at him to maintain a clean sheet providing the base for the Wolves 1-0 victory. Harris produced several spectacular saves to repel the Cats, including one unbelievable stop when the ball was cut across his area and a Thundercat blasted it from point blank ranged only to see Harris coming fluying across the face of goal to somehow get in the way. A truly worthy contender for this weeks accolade. Well played wee man.
Sunday 27th July - Dave Gage - The Wolves
On a night when Shaun Hambley bagged 5 to 7 goals for Egloshayle against the leper colony that is P6FC (depends who you talk to) and Pete Ling seemingly scored for fun for who ever he played for, the POW accolade goes to Dave Gage of the Wolves. Last season the Wolves were poor at best as they festered in the bottom 3 all season. This season they have come out all guns blazing as they bid to live upto their billing as contenders. Against the new look Millers team who are definbately the Chelsea of the division, Gage was the difference weighing in with a brace to secure all 3 points for the Wolves against the best team in the division. Top work fella.
